Community solar + storage solves multiple issues. It's a middle-mile solution to strengthen the grid, and a last-mile option for people who can’t do rooftop solar, especially low-income customers and renters.
Currently, certain policy and valuation gaps stand in the way of wider community solar + storage implementation. Nationally, over 8 GW of CCA solar + storage projects are expected by 2035, and California has the potential to represent more than 5 GW. Let's use all the available options to bring our state into a clean energy future.
